Basketball Recap: Muhammed Perez Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Alonso

There's no place like home for Leto, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They came out on top against the Alonso Ravens by a score of 64-57 on Friday. With that victory, the Falcons brought their scoring average up to 50.1 points per game.

Leto's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Muhammed Perez, who went 8 for 13 on his way to 16 points and seven rebounds. Those 16 points gave Perez a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jakobe Bruton, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 17 points in addition to five assists and three steals.

Leto is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points per game. As for Alonso, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-10.

Leto wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, an 85-60 defeat against Sickles on the 14th. As for Alonso, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 53-51 victory against Cypress Creek on the 11th.
