Soccer Game Preview: Meadowdale vs. Carroll

The Meadowdale Lions will take on the Carroll Patriots at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meadowdale's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

It was a proper cat-fight when Meadowdale duked it out with Stivers School for the Arts on Tuesday. The Lions came up short against the Tigers, falling 6-1.

Meanwhile, Carroll entered their tilt with Trotwood-Madison on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Their defense stepped up to hand the Rams an 8-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Carroll, who have now won six contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Meadowdale's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Carroll, their victory bumped their record up to 14-2-2.

Meadowdale might still be hurting after the 9-0 defeat they got from Carroll in their previous matchup back in October of 2015. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
