Baseball Recap: Pryor Extends Home Winning Streak to Eight

Pryor had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They skirted past the Booker T. Washington Hornets 2-1. The win was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on four straight.

Gavin Roberts spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Riley Hurst, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. Clinton Stohler was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Pryor pushed their record up to 27-11 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Booker T. Washington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-22.
