The Paoli Rams will head out on the road to face off against the West Washington Senators at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Paoli will be strutting in after a victory while West Washington will be coming in after a loss.
Paoli took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They never let Cannelton get on the board and left with a 20-0 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Rams considering their one-run performance the contest before.
Jayda Smith made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Keeley Scott was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Chloe Smith was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Paoli was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .531. They are 2-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 15 runs the game before, West Washington was a bit more limited in their matchup on Wednesday. They fell 5-2 to Orleans. The game marked the Senators' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.
Macy Lowery was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Paoli's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-7. As for West Washington, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 9-1.
Paoli suffered a grim 11-0 defeat to West Washington when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
