Softball Recap: Lower Moreland Sets Scoring Season-High Against Norristown

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lower Moreland). They were the clear victors by an 18-3 margin over the Norristown Eagles on Monday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Lions with their most commanding win of the season.

The team relied heavily on Molly Weber, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Lily Seiner was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Lower Moreland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .714. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Lower Moreland's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Norristown, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.

Looking ahead, Lower Moreland will face off against Upper Moreland at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Norristown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
