Basketball Recap: Blair County Christian Extends Winning Streak to Three

Blair County Christian waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They had just enough and edged out the Central Baptist Christian Academy Cougars 49-47. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bobcats have posted since February 22, 2024.

Blair County Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Silas Marucci, who went 6-for-11 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and three steals. Those 20 points gave Marucci a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jonathan Marucci, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds.

Blair County Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They are 8-2 when they've passed the ball that well.

Blair County Christian's win bumped their record up to 11-12.

Blair County Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 64-33 defeat against Fairview Christian on the 6th. Central Baptist Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
