Soccer Recap: St. Michael's Comes Up Short

St. Michael lost against Central Catholic back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Central Catholic Buttons who were credited with the victory. The Central Catholic Buttons got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the St. Michael's Warriors' three. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while the Buttons are ranked eighth).

St. Michael's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4-2. As for Central Catholic, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1-2.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing TMI-Episcopal the next time they take the pitch. St. Michael's will head out to face TMI-Episcopal at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Central Catholic will host them at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th.
