Baseball Recap: New Fairfield Wins Going Away Against Stratford

New Fairfield got themselves on the board against Stratford on Monday, but Stratford never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Red Devils with a sharp 7-0 win. The Rebels have beaten the Red Devils the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Red Devils has come to flipping the script.

New Fairfield got a great performance from Jake Pardalis as he didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. Pardalis also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Rebels are 4-2 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 3-6 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Nicolas Martini was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. New Fairfield is 6-2 when Martini posts two or more runs, but 1-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Andrew Dossena, who earned two runs and two stolen bases.

New Fairfield's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Stratford, they dropped their record down to 3-7-1 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
