Softball Recap: Pinecrest Comes Up Short

Pinecrest lost against Richmond on April 1st, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Patriots took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Raiders. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Pinecrest saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addisyn Stayskal, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Pinecrest's record is now 6-17. As for Richmond, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-16.

Pinecrest does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Richmond, they will face off against Scotland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Fighting Scots will roll in looking for their 21st straight win, something the Raiders surely won't give up without a fight.
