Basketball Recap: Great Hearts Northern Oaks Comes Up Short

Great Hearts Northern Oaks lost against Cole back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Great Hearts Northern Oaks Griffins took a hard 63-46 fall against the Cole Cougars. The Griffins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Defeat or not, Great Hearts Northern Oaks got some senior leadership from Michael Glowe and Caden Collins. Glowe went 5 for 7 en route to 12 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals, while Collins posted eight points.

Cole's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Logan Beckstrom, who went 9 of 14 on his way to 20 points along with five boards and three steals. Beckstrom's evening made it ten games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mackenzie Schonberg, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.

Great Hearts Northern Oaks' loss dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Cole, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 20-7.

Great Hearts Northern Oaks has already played their next matchup, a 43-41 defeat against Randolph on the 24th. As for Cole, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 72-36 victory against Young Men's Leadership Academy on the 24th.
