Softball Recap: Wayne City Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Wayne City can now relate to. They came up short against the Grayville Bison on Tuesday, falling 15-5. The Indians were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bison earlier this season, when they won 15-1.

Wayne City has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Grayville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-10.

Wayne City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Grayville, they will challenge Edwards County at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Bison's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
