Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Centennial

Centennial waltzed into their contest on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They never let the Roosevelt Mustangs get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Huskies also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2025.

Centennial got a great performance from Jacob Torres as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over 6.1 innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave Torres a new career-high.

At the plate, Centennial's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Devin Bishop, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double was Bishop's first of the season. Ethan Miller was another, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Centennial's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Roosevelt, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Centennial will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Mustangs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
