While Fowler put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Caruthers. The Redcats put the hurt on the Blue Raiders with a sharp 7-0 victory. Considering the Redcats have won six matches by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Not much got past Jaelyn Quintana, who gave up just a hit and racked up seven Ks to keep Caruthers off the board. Those seven strikeouts set a new season-high mark for Quintana.

On the hitting side, Fowler let Andreya Mendoza and Natalie Gonzales run wild. Mendoza went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run, while Gonzales went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Fowler hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Fowler's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Caruthers, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

Fowler didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 19-1 win against Orange Cove on the 12th. Caruthers has also already played their next matchup (against Fresno Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
