Baseball Recap: Chicago University Comes Up Short

Chicago University lost against Crystal Lake South back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Maroons lost 21-2 to the Gators. The Maroons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Chicago University's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Crystal Lake South, their win bumped their record up to 14-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chicago University will take on Latin at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Maroons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Romans have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season. As for Crystal Lake South, they will face off against McHenry at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Gators surely won't give up without a fight.
