Basketball Recap: Hanahan Makes It Five in a Row at Home

Hanahan had won four straight home games dating back to last season and Camdyn Lawson did her part to make it five on Tuesday. The Hanahan Hawks managed a 38-33 win over the Georgetown Bulldogs thanks in part to Lawson, who posted 16 points and eight rebounds. That's the most boards she has posted since back in November of 2023.

Another player making a difference was Bri Johnsen, who had five points in addition to six boards and five assists. She has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 24 times she's played.

Hanahan's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Georgetown, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Hanahan and Cathedral Academy will round out the year against one another at at 5:45 p.m. on December 27th. As for Georgetown, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Ashley Ridge at 1:45 p.m. on December 30th.
