Softball Recap: Panther Creek Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Panther Creek can now relate to. They came up short against the Wake Forest Cougars on Tuesday, falling 9-0. The Catamounts haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Panther Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Wake Forest, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-1.

Panther Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wake Forest, they will square off against Corinth Holders on Friday. The Cougars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pirates have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season.
