Basketball Recap: Brooks County's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Brooks County needed a changed in momentum after dropping four straight games and they got it from Camauri Brinson. The Brooks County Trojans blew past the Echols County Wildcats 75-37 on Friday thanks in part to Brinson, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten steals. He has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played.

Demarrion Washington was another key player, going 5 of 8 en route to 10 points and six boards. What's more, he also racked up three assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2023.

Brooks County's victory bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Echols County, they dropped their record down to 6-13 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Brooks County will be playing at home against Irwin County at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Brooks County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.8 points per game this season. Echols County has already played their next game (against Lanier County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
