Volleyball Recap: Reedley Takes a Loss

Reedley lost against Sunnyside back in March of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Reedley took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sunnyside. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 22-25, 25-23, 25-22.

When it comes to explaining why Reedley lost, don't look at Angel Zamarripa. Despite the final result, he had 15 digs and one assist. Those 15 digs gave Zamarripa a new career-high. Keizo Arakawa also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Reedley's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Sunnyside, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-12.

Reedley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Immanuel on the 20th. As for Sunnyside, they will take on Madera at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
