Soccer Game Preview: Naperville Central vs. St. Charles North

The Naperville Central Redhawks will face off against the St. Charles North North Stars at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Naperville Central is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Illinois' top teams: Neuqua Valley, who was ranked ninth at the time (Naperville Central was ranked fifth). The Redhawks fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The loss was Naperville Central's first of the season.

Meanwhile, St. Charles North managed to keep up with Wheaton North until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The North Stars came up short against the Falcons, falling 4-0. St. Charles North have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Having lost for the first time this season, Naperville Central fell to 6-1-1. As for St. Charles North, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
