Basketball Recap: Salisbury Township Comes Up Short

Salisbury Township lost against Saucon Valley back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Salisbury Township Falcons took a 53-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saucon Valley Panthers.

Saucon Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jack Robertson led the charge by putting up 17 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists. Adam Clark was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 14 points and nine boards.

Salisbury Township's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Saucon Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.

Looking ahead, Salisbury Township will square off against Freedom at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Salisbury Township is facing Freedom at the right time seeing as Freedom is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Saucon Valley, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 55-47 loss against Northwestern Lehigh on the 10th.
