Point Loma and Granite Hills are an even 3-3 against one another since March of 2020, but likely not for long. The Pointers will challenge the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams were dealt some close losses in their previous games and are determined not to let this one get away.

Point Loma heads in on the heels of a playoff game on Wednesday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 3-1 to Eastlake, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Pointers have struggled against the Titans recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Point Loma saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Reddeg, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Granite Hills suffered their closest loss since March 20th on Wednesday. They fell just short of San Marcos by a score of 6-4.

Anthony Miotti was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Point Loma's record now sits at 17-10-1. As for Granite Hills, their record is now 21-6.

Point Loma was able to grind out a solid win over Granite Hills in their previous meeting back in March, winning 7-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pointers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
