5A Region III District 22 recap September 4, 2013
Fans got a thrill when Daniel Delgado and Uriel Hill connected against Spring Woods. The connection was good for 66 yards, the longest such play in 5A Region III District 22 this season.
Pasadena was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to second in the league. The Eagles vanquished the Tigers 33-3 earlier in the week.
Pasadena's dynamic duo of Delgado and Hill proved tough for Spring Woods to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Delgado threw for 256 yards and 4 touchdowns and Hill had 195 yards receiving. Metrelle Taylor helped Pasadena's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 55 yards.
Jeff Ganske's team's dynamic duo of Delgado and Hill proved to be unstoppable against Dwayne Eggerman's team, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Qyalan Clay was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 22 carries, he ran for 87 yards as Manvel beat the Tigers. Teammate Deriq King added to the ground attack by rushing for 63 yards.
He was 10-21 with 0 interceptions.

Hill was the best receiver in 5A Region III District 22 this week as the Eagles bested the Tigers.

Manvel moved up to 301 from 393 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Kirk Martin's team was able to make move up by besting Spring 33-12.
