Volleyball Recap: Kylin Vandever and Ava Simpson Secure Win for Willard

Willard had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Joplin Eagles as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in September.

Willard not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Joplin between 13 and 16 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-15, 25-16.

Willard was led to victory by Ava Simpson and Kylin Vandever. Simpson had nine digs and one assist, while Vandever had nine digs and two aces.

Willard's victory bumped their record up to 18-7-2. As for Joplin, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-21-1.

Coming up, Willard will challenge Battle at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Joplin, they will square off against Raymore-Peculiar at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
