Soccer Recap: NYOS Charter Falls to KIPP Austin Collegiate in First Game of Season

NYOS Charter unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the KIPP Austin Collegiate Cardinals on Wednesday, falling 7-0.

KIPP Austin Collegiate pushed their record up to 8-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. NYOS Charter will welcome Idea Pflugerville at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Idea Pflugerville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.2 goals per game this season. As for KIPP Austin Collegiate, a feisty cat fight will be fought as KIPP Austin Collegiate duke it out with Valor North Austin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. They know how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Valor North Austin like a good challenge.
