Baseball Game Preview: Boise Brave vs. Ridgevue Warhawks

The Boise Brave will face off against the Ridgevue Warhawks at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Boise has given up an average of 7.9 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Boise is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Thursday. They came up short against Owyhee, falling 14-1. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Brave couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, Ridgevue had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 victory over Timberline on Thursday.

The team relied heavily on Elliot Jamison, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Chance Schreiber, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Ridgevue was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matchups.

Ridgevue now has a winning record of 7-6-1. As for Boise, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.

Boise came up short against Ridgevue in their previous matchup back in March of 2023, falling 8-5. Can the Brave avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
