It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Monache can now relate to. They fell just short of the Bakersfield Christian Eagles by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Marauders' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Sophia Martinez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Monache saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Danika Sanchez, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Monache's loss dropped their record down to 17-6-1. As for Bakersfield Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Monache nor Bakersfield Christian have any future games scheduled.
