Volleyball Game Preview: Chipley Tigers vs. Baker Gators + How To Watch

Chipley is 2-8 against Baker since September of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 2:00 p.m. Chipley will be looking to extend their current 12-game winning streak.

Chipley is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Everything went their way against Bethlehem as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

Meanwhile, Baker didn't have quite enough to beat Jay on Thursday and fell 3-2.

Despite the defeat, Baker saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Bailey Johnson had 29 digs and two assists. Those 29 digs set a new season-high mark for Johnson.

Chipley's win bumped their record up to 21-6. As for Baker, their loss dropped their record down to 9-13.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Saturday's matchup: Chipley has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 11.2 aces per game. However, it's not like Baker struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.8 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.

Everything went Chipley's way against Baker when the teams last played on October 2nd, as Chipley made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Gators have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
