Basketball Game Preview: Stevenson Spartans vs. Mercy Marlins

The Stevenson Spartans will be taking part in a tournament against the Mercy Marlins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Stevenson saw some tournament action on Wednesday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 63-25 victory over Thurston. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 113th, while the Eagles are ranked 372nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Mercy waltzed into their match on Wednesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They breezed past the Patriots to the tune of 69-32.

Stevenson's win bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Mercy, their victory bumped their record up to 18-4.
