Football Recap: Hedgesville Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Hedgesville extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 15 on Friday, dropping them down to 0-6. They lost 40-14 to the Albert Gallatin Colonials. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Eagles came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 58th in West Virginia, while the Colonials are ranked 227th in Pennsylvania).

As for Albert Gallatin, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Albert Gallatin got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Adam Pegg out in front who rushed for 177 yards and a pair of TDs on only 15 carries. Pegg didn't just play on offense: he also forced one fumble and made seven total tackles. Tee Guesman was another key player, rushing for 94 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries.

Coming up, Hedgesville will take on Musselman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Albert Gallatin, they will challenge Brownsville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Colonials will be up against the Falcons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 46 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
