Football Recap: Wayne County Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Wayne County, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They never let the Russell County Lakers get on the board and left with a 20-0 win on Friday. The Cardinals haven't had any issues with the Lakers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-5. As for Russell County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Wayne County is set to take on their familiar foe Boyle County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Russell County will face off against rival Lincoln County at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
