Baseball Game Preview: Lake County Falcons vs. Jackson Christian Eagles

The Lake County Falcons will venture away from home to face off against the Jackson Christian Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Lake County has given up an average of 10.3 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Falcons on Thursday. Lake County came up short against Hickman County, falling 21-10.

Chance Estes was cooking despite his team's loss, firing off two home runs, six RBI, and three runs while going 2-for-4. Bryson Johnson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Meanwhile, Jackson Christian sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over Jackson South Side on Friday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Jackson Christian pushed their record up to 17-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Lake County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-18-1 record this season.
