Preview: Empire Ravens vs. Walden Grove Red Wolves
The Empire Ravens will head out on the road to face off against the Walden Grove Red Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Empire focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Monday.
Empire had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They took down Cholla 39-25.
Among those leading the charge was JENNA RIDLEY, who scored 25 points along with 3 steals. Another player making a difference was ADDYSON KEELING, who scored 8 points.
Meanwhile, Walden Grove's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 53-17 loss at the hands of Pusch Ridge Christian Academy. Walden Grove was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-5.
Empire's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Walden Grove, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
Empire was dealt a bruising 56-23 loss at the hands of Walden Grove in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. Can Empire avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
