Softball Recap: Credo Comes Up Short

Credo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 16-2 to the Upper Lake Cougars. If the Gryphon were looking for revenge after losing 10-3 to the Cougars when the teams met back in May of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Delaney Lannert was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Zoe LaFleur was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.

Credo's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Upper Lake, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Credo wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 16-8 victory against Potter Valley on the 25th. Upper Lake has also already played their next game (against Maxwell), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
