Belfast is a perfect 3-0 against John Bapst Memorial since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Lions will take on the Crusaders at 7:00 p.m. Belfast will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

On Wednesday, Belfast needed a bit of extra time to put away Lincoln Academy. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 7-4. The game was the first time the Lions have beaten the Eagles on their field since May 21, 2021.

The team relied heavily on Colton Luce, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.

Meanwhile, John Bapst Memorial hadn't done well against Old Town recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Crusaders had just enough and edged out the Coyotes 6-4. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Crusaders as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Belfast pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for John Bapst Memorial, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-5.

Belfast skirted past John Bapst Memorial 3-2 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Crusaders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
