Volleyball Recap: Miramonte Comes Up Short

Miramonte was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Concord Bears. The Matadors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bears earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

While Miramonte was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 25-23, 25-22.

Miramonte's loss dropped their record down to 4-22. As for Concord, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-14 record this season.

Miramonte will host Alhambra at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Concord, they will head out on the road to square off against Bentley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
