Volleyball Recap: Lawrence-Nelson Takes a Loss

Lawrence-Nelson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Bruning-Davenport/Shickley Eagles. The Raiders were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-11.

Adriyanna Mazour paced Lawrence-Nelson's offense, picking up two kills. Mazour got some help from Maddy Laughlin and her two assists.

Lawrence-Nelson's loss dropped their record down to 5-19. As for Bruning-Davenport/Shickley, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-8.

Lawrence-Nelson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Blue Hill on the 18th. As for Bruning-Davenport/Shickley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against High Plains on the 16th.
