Basketball Recap: Derryfield Takes a Loss

Derryfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a hard 58-44 fall against the Raymond Rams.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Raymond to victory, but perhaps none more so than Drezell Duffaut, who posted 17 points. Another player making a difference was Aidan York, who put up 16 points.

Derryfield's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Raymond, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Derryfield will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Fall Mountain at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Raymond also won't see the court for a while: their next game is against Hillsboro-Deering at 6:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
