Volleyball Recap: Huntington Beach Makes It 16 in a Row at Home

Huntington Beach extended their postseason success on Thursday against Corona del Mar. They beat the Sea Kings by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 3-1. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 3-1 win back in April.

Huntington Beach had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-22, 25-15, 25-21.

Huntington Beach pushed their record up to 36-4 with the win, which was their 16th straight at home. As for Corona del Mar, their loss dropped their record down to 25-7.

Coming up, Huntington Beach will square off against Mira Costa at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Oilers surely won't give up without a fight. Corona del Mar does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
