Volleyball Game Preview: Paint Valley Bearcats vs. Southeastern Panthers

Paint Valley hasn't had much luck against Southeastern recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Bearcats will host the Panthers at 6:30 p.m.

Paint Valley lost 3-0 to Huntington on Tuesday.

Paint Valley was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-18, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Southeastern sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Chillicothe on Wednesday.

Southeastern was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (104-98), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 26-24, 13-25, 25-20, 19-25, 15-10.

Paint Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Southeastern, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Paint Valley suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Southeastern in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Bearcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
