Basketball Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short

Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 68-63 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lincoln Patriots. The Cavaliers were probably out for revenge after losing 53-50 to them when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Jefferson now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Lincoln, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jefferson will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Rapid City Central at 7:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025. Lincoln also won't see the court for a while: their next matchup is against Aberdeen Central at 7:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
