Wayne won the last time they faced Poca and things went their way on Thursday too. The Wayne Pioneers blew past the Poca The Dots 81-39. The match marked the Pioneers' most dominant victory of the season.

Wayne had a senior duo take command as Isaac Meddings almost dropped a triple-double on 13 points, 11 boards, and nine assists and Ronnie Staley went 9 of 16 on his way to 19 points and eight rebounds. Those 11 rebounds set a new season-high mark for Meddings. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Adkins, who went 5 for 6 en route to 12 points and five boards.

Wayne smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

The win made it two in a row for Wayne and bumps their season record up to 11-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.5 points. As for Poca, they dropped their record down to 1-13 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wayne will take on Lawrence County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Poca, they will face off against Clay County at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
