Softball Recap: Hylton Bulldogs vs. Forest Park Bruins
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Hylton walked away with it. They came out on top against the Forest Park Bruins by a score of 5-2 on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Bruins back in May, they had to take a 9-7 loss.
Alanis Layne spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
