Football Recap: Millington Central Falls to Fairley in First Game of Season

Millington Central unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against the Fairley Bulldogs on Saturday, falling 44-6. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Cole Hawkins threw for 97 yards and one TD. John Thomas was his top target, picking up 85 receiving yards and one score.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Millington Central will welcome Munford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fairley, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Melrose at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
