Basketball Recap: Center-Stanton Comes Up Short

Center-Stanton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 77-28 loss at the hands of the Washburn Cardinals. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 117th, while the Cardinals are ranked 32nd).

Center-Stanton's loss dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Washburn, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-4.

Center-Stanton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 41-26 victory against Mandaree on the 15th. As for Washburn, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 43-39 win against Garrison on the 15th.
