Basketball Recap: Lee's Summit North Takes Down Ranked Blue Valley Northwest

Lee's Summit North is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Blue Valley Northwest. The Lee's Summit North Broncos sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 50-48 win over the Blue Valley Northwest Huskies. This was payback for the Broncos, who suffered a 68-58 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Blue Valley Northwest's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Keaton Humphrey, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine boards. Those nine rebounds gave Humphrey a new career-high. Ayden Mcgibboney was another key player, going 6 for 14 en route to 13 points.

Lee's Summit North has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Blue Valley Northwest, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-4.
