A trio of Connecticut-bound female standouts highlight the 24-member rosters that were announced today for the 2012 McDonald's All-American Game.
The games are scheduled for March 28 at Chicago's United Center. The
boys' game is the 35th annual and the girls' contest is No. 11.

Possible National Player of the Year Breanna Stewart, a 6-foot-3 forward from Cicero-North (N.Y) leads the trio headed to Connecticut, along with home-schooled Moriah Jefferson, a 5-7 guard from Dallas Texas, and 6-2 forward Morgan Tuck (Bolingbrook, Ill.).
Stewart was selected to the East squad, while Jefferson and Tuck will play for the West.
All 24 girls have signed their letters of intent – a rather remarkable feat.
Baylor, Syracuse, Duke and 2011 national finalists Notre Dame and Texas A&M all will claim two McDonald's All-Americans.
Texas and California have the most representatives with four players apiece, including two from the same Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) squad, guards Jordan Adams and Nirra Fields. That's some backcourt.
Illinois boasts three players, while New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Florida all claim two All-Americans.

Chicago-area talents Tuck, along with Whitney Young guard Janee Thompson and Niles West guard Jewell Loyd will be hometown favorites at the game, which helps raise funds to help build the largest Ronald McDonald House located in the heart of downtown Chicago.
Tickets are available now through Ticketmaster.
The girls game begins at 6:30 p.m. CT and will broadcast live on ESPNU. The boys game will follow at 8:30.
Two days before the games - on March 26 - the All-Americans will participate in the POWERADE Jam Fest, which features a skills competition, 3-point shootout and dunk contest. That will be held at the Gerald Ratner Athletic Center on the campus of the University of Chicago.
