Soccer Recap: Collegiate Makes It 16 in a Row at Home

With a playoff win on the line, Collegiate rose to the challenge on Saturday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Norfolk Academy Bulldogs a 2-0 shutout. Collegiate's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three games.

Ryan Lewis and Ava Babik scored both of Collegiate's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 29 goals.

The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up six goals over those 16 contests. As for Norfolk Academy, the loss snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 18-4-1 record.
