Baseball Recap: Joppatowne Comes Up Short

Joppatowne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They lost 14-4 to Perry Hall Christian. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mariners of the 10-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Charles Madera was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Martin, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Joppatowne's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Perry Hall Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Joppatowne will venture away from home to challenge City College at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Perry Hall Christian, they will welcome Greater Grace Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
