Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Elizabeth). Everything went their way against the Arvada Bulldogs on Monday as they made off with a 21-2 victory. The win was nothing new for the Cardinals as they're now sitting on five straight.

Cade Taylor made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Joey Dome, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Walker Blanchard was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run and three RBI.

Elizabeth always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .619. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Elizabeth's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Arvada, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5.

Elizabeth didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 17-0 victory against Mitchell on the 29th. As for Arvada, they will take on Denver West in a tournament on Saturday.
