Baseball Recap: Alice Comes Up Short

Alice fell victim to Gregory-Portland and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 4-0 to the Wildcats, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Coyotes' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

Alice's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Gregory-Portland, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-8-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Alice is set to square off against their familiar foe King at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Gregory-Portland will take on rival Flour Bluff at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wildcats 2.4, the Hornets 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
